Espolòn Reposado is a tequila from Destiladora San Nicolas in Mexico, made as a development of the brand's Blanco. It is distilled twice in copper pot stills.
It then rests for six months in new American oak barrels of about 200 litres, smaller than average. The closer contact with the wood adds aromatic complexity and structure.
The nose shows spiced caramel with hints of chocolate, led by cooked agave, with citrus and fresh fruit such as apple and apricot. The palate is full-bodied.
