Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch is a Kentucky bourbon from Heaven Hill, a marriage of bourbons aged six to eight years and bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof).
Heaven Hill lost its distillery and nearly 100,000 barrels in a fire in November 1996, and the strength of some of its brands was lowered afterwards to stretch supplies. Under master distiller Conor O'Driscoll, this expression has been reworked to be stronger.
The palate shows sweet baking spices and a richer viscosity.
