Evan Williams Bottled in Bond is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 50% ABV (100 proof), aged for at least four years. It follows the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897: a single distillation season at one distillery, ageing under government supervision, and bottling at 100 proof. The mash bill is 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye.
Caramel and vanilla on the nose come with toasted oak, barley sweetness and a hint of citrus zest. Brown sugar and caramel lead the palate, with cinnamon and black pepper building through the middle. The finish is warm, long and dry, with lingering spice and oak tannins.
