Evan Williams is a Kentucky straight bourbon made by Heaven Hill at its Bernheim facility in Louisville. It is bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The mashbill is 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye, and the spirit matures in new charred American oak. The barrels in the final vatting are between six and eight years old, and the bourbon is charcoal-filtered before bottling.
Brown sugar, caramel and baking spices lead the nose, with a thread of cherry. The palate is soft and buttery, with vanilla cream, honey and black tea. The finish is medium, warm and gently spiced, with caramel and roasted oak.
