Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon (75cl, 43.3%)

A single barrel Kentucky bourbon from Evan Williams, bottled at 86.6 proof in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey in this bottle went into oak in 2015, and each bottle is hand numbered with its barrel number and the dates the barrel was filled and bottled. The brand is named after Evan Williams, who opened Kentucky's first distillery in 1783. Its Master Distillers select each barrel by hand. The colour is amber gold. The nose is dark caramel, sweet oak and vanilla. The palate is lush and spicy, with oak, honey and vanilla, leading to a long finish.
