Evan Williams White Label is a bottled-in-bond Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill, bottled at 50% (100 proof) in a 1.75 litre bottle. Bottled-in-bond means it was made in a single distillation season at one distillery and aged for at least four years in a bonded warehouse. The mashbill is 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, and the spirit is matured in new charred American oak.
Caramel and vanilla lead the nose, with toasted oak and banana bread. The palate is soft with vanilla and caramel, then black pepper and citrus zest. The finish is long and dry, with charred oak and a faint peppery tingle.
