A bottled-in-bond Kentucky straight bourbon from Evan Williams, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
It is made by Heaven Hill at its Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, from a mashbill of 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, and aged in new charred American oak. As a bottled-in-bond whiskey it is at least four years old.
The nose offers caramel and vanilla with toasted oak, barley and a little citrus zest. Brown sugar, cinnamon, black pepper and dark chocolate run through the palate. The finish is warm and long, drying to firm oak tannins and baking spice.
