This is a Kentucky straight bourbon matured in new charred American oak casks. The mash bill is 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley.
It is a sour mash bourbon, meaning some material from earlier distillations is added to the next brew. The name refers to its bottling at 99 US proof, which is 49.5% alcohol. After distilling it is charcoal filtered, and it comes in a 70cl bottle.
The flavour is mild, with notes of caramel, vanilla, chocolate and spice.
