Ezra Brooks 99 Proof is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 49.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is bottled by Lux Row Distillers in Bardstown and is charcoal filtered.
The bourbon carries no age statement but is aged for at least four years in new charred oak. The mash bill is 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley, a spicy, rye-forward recipe. It won Gold at both the 2024 ASCOT Awards and the 2024 SIP Awards.
The nose is typically described as caramel, vanilla, chocolate and a hint of spice. The palate is full-bodied, with caramel, vanilla and dark chocolate, and the finish is long and smooth, with lingering sweetness and a warm spice kick.
