This is a Kentucky-style bourbon from Ezra Brooks, bottled at 49.5% ABV (99 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The mash is made from corn, rye and barley.
The whiskey is first aged in charred American oak barrels, then finished in port casks. That finish is where the Special Cask Finish Series gets its character, adding fruitiness and a darker richness to the bourbon.
It is a bold but balanced bourbon, suited to sipping.
