Falster Brandy is a grape brandy, matured and aged at the Falster distillery in Denmark. This first release is from 2020 and is bottled at 38% ABV in a 50cl bottle.
It rests in small 32 litre oak casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso fortified wines from Spain. The PX casks contribute sweetness, while the Oloroso adds fine nutty tones.
It is intended to be served neat in a large glass, left to stand for ten minutes after pouring, for example with coffee.
