The Famous Grouse 40 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky and the oldest expression the brand has released. It combines four sherry casks that were matured for four decades, and it is bottled at 47% ABV.
It comes in a hand-engraved crystal decanter with a Scottish silver stopper, designed by Timorous Beasties. A total of 276 decanters were made.
The nose is described as ripe mango, coriander and citrus. The palate brings banana, gingerbread and dark fruits, with a delicate touch of peat smoke.
