Smoky Black is a peated blended Scotch whisky from Famous Grouse, bottled at 40% in a 75cl bottle. It was formerly known as The Black Grouse. The blend leans towards peated components, including a peat-smoked single malt from Glenturret and malts from Islay. Highland Park and The Glenrothes also contribute, alongside grain whiskies. The nose combines citrus peel, winter spices and a little campfire smoke, with baked apple and a faint iodine note. The palate is soft and slightly sweet, with salted caramel, dried fruit and clove, then pepper and dark chocolate. The finish is medium to long, smoky and peppery.
