Fercullen 10 Year Old is a single grain Irish whiskey from Powerscourt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The spirit was bought from Cooley distillery, and Powerscourt's current master distiller, Noel Sweeney, produced it while he worked there.
It spent its first ten years entirely in American white oak, then finished in fresh bourbon casks.
The nose has sweet vanilla, citrus, honey, spice, almonds, orange and oak. The palate is soft, with sweet toasted grain, oak and fruit, and the finish is silky, long, sweet and vanilla-led.
