Fertuna Pactio Toscana Rosso IGT

A Tuscan red from Fertuna, named Pactio, meaning agreement or pact. The blend is mainly Sangiovese with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It has an impressive depth of colour with ruby and violet reflections. The nose shows ripe plum and cherry, with vanilla and spice from partial ageing in oak barriques. On the palate it is rich and enveloping, with balanced tannins and a long, elegant finish with notes of chocolate and tobacco. It suits grilled red meats, spiced stews and aged cheeses, and can also be enjoyed slowly on its own.
