Fettercairn 12 Year Old is a single malt matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was one of four new Fettercairn expressions launched in August 2018, intended to show the distillery's floral, exotic fruit-driven character.
On the nose, nectarine, white flowers and milk chocolate come first, with black toffee and a little roasted coffee beneath. The palate brings tropical fruit and sticky Jamaican ginger cake, with a touch of bitter herbs and vanilla. The finish has orchard fruits and soft spices.
