FEW American Whiskey (75cl, 46.5%)

FEW American Whiskey is a blend of three whiskeys, all made grain-to-glass by FEW Spirits in Evanston, Illinois: the distillery's own bourbon and rye, and a malt whiskey smoked with cherrywood. It is bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The smoked malt began as an experiment that did not fit the usual categories. Founder Paul Hletko's team blended it with their bourbon and rye, and found that the three worked well together. The aim is a balance of sweet, spice and smoke. Tasting notes describe graham cracker and honey with savoury rye spice, tart cherry through the middle and a wisp of cherrywood smoke. The finish is white pepper and honey.
