A straight bourbon from FEW Spirits of Evanston, Illinois, bottled at 46.5% ABV (93 proof) in a 75cl bottle.
It is distilled from grain to glass on a mash of 70% corn, 20% rye and 10% malted barley, fermented with saison yeast and aged in Minnesota oak barrels. The distillery opened in 2011, and the name FEW comes from the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, the temperance leader.
The nose offers cherries, caramel, aged wood and brown sugar. The palate has corn sweetness, cinnamon, clove and peppery oak, and the finish is warm and spicy.
