FEW Rye is a straight rye whiskey distilled by FEW Spirits in Evanston, Illinois, and bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The mash is 70% rye, 20% corn and 10% malted barley, and the whiskey is aged in air-dried oak barrels.
FEW has distilled from grain to glass since 2011. The name comes from the initials of Frances Elizabeth Willard, a temperance leader based in Evanston.
The brand describes generous rye spice with corn sweetness: cinnamon and clove over caramel and honey, with pepper, ginger and vanilla warmth. The finish carries orchard fruit, including cherry, plum and pear.
