Fib Whisky Pictish Alliance Volume I (70cl, 60.7%)

Pictish Alliance Volume I is a 13-year-old blended Scotch from Fib Whisky, made by whiskymakers Iain and Andrew Mundy. It combines grain whisky from Strathclyde with malt whisky from Dalrymple. The whisky matured in two bourbon casks, then was finished for 10 months in a Champagne barrique. It was bottled at a cask strength of 60.7%, with natural colour and without chill filtration, in an outturn of 248 bottles. The nose offers freshly baked brioche and crisp green fruit. Sweet toffee arrives first on the palate, and the long finish brings zesty citrus with earthy almond.
