Fib Whisky Pictish Boar Volume I (70cl, 56.8%)

Pictish Boar Volume I is a blended whisky from Fib Whisky, made from two single casks, both 15 years old. It is the second release in the Pictish series, following Pictish Beastie. The malt is Ardmore finished for two and a half months in a Mourvèdre cask, and the grain is Strathclyde finished for the same time in a Banyuls cask. The blend is 80% Strathclyde and 20% Ardmore, bottled at 56.8% in a 70cl bottle with natural colour and no chill filtration. 284 bottles were filled. Rich fruity sweetness sits over dark, peppery smoke, with strawberry bonbon notes at the start and deep toasted caramel at the end.
