A small-batch blended Scotch from Fib Whisky, made by whiskymakers Iain and Andrew Mundy as the first release in their Pictish series. It combines Cameronbridge grain whisky with peated FinGlassie from Inchdairnie, matured in a first-fill bourbon hogshead, a second-fill PX sherry hogshead and a first-fill Banyuls barrique. The age is 5 years, and 340 bottles were filled at a cask strength of 58.6%, with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The nose is smoked bacon with maple syrup. The palate balances thick wood smoke with salted caramel, and the finish brings tangy sea salt and gentle tannins.
