Fife Peaty Potion is a 7 year old Lowland single malt bottled by the Scottish Malt Whisky Society at 50%. It is a small batch release.
Two styles of spirit from the same distillery were combined, one unpeated and one heavily peated. The result was married for around 18 months in first fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez butts before bottling.
On the palate it shows dark and red fruits with wood smoke, dark-grained breads, liquorice root, herbal extracts and a note of chip shop brown sauce.
