Filey Bay – STR Finish Yorkshire Single Malt Whisky

Filey Bay STR Finish is a Yorkshire single malt, made field to bottle and distilled in 2016. It matured for years in bourbon casks, then was finished in Rioja red wine barriques that had been shaved, toasted and re-charred. The bourbon casks contribute citrus and caramel, and the Rioja barriques add red fruit, giving spice and depth alongside a light, floral character. It is typically described as light, floral and fruity, with summer berries, vanilla ice cream, orange chocolate and toasted oak.
