Firefly White Lightning Moonshine (75cl, 50.4%)

Firefly White Lightning is an unaged corn whiskey, copper pot-distilled in North Charleston, South Carolina, and bottled at 50.35% (100.7 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It goes from the still straight to the bottle without time in wood, and the distillery chose this strength to show the flavour of raw corn without too much heat. The nose is popcorn with a buttery richness over clean grain. The palate is direct, with strong corn flavour, then a smooth, slightly sweet and silky texture. The finish is quick and clean with real heat, leaving warmth and a little sweetness.
