This is a single cask Dailuaine single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, distilled in 2012 and bottled by The Firkin Whisky Company under whisky maker Mike Collings. It was matured in a double wood cask seasoned with both Oloroso and Amontillado sherries, and bottled at 48.9% with natural colour and no chill filtration.
The nose is herbal, with cut grass, orange juice and delicate jasmine. On the palate, smooth oak sits over milk arrowroot biscuits with subtle fruit sweetness and a touch of baking spice, round and rich yet crisply defined. The finish is long, with a peanut-butter note giving way to fresh apple and soft peppery warmth.
