This is a 2011 vintage Linkwood from Speyside, bottled as a single cask by The Firkin Whisky Company as an exclusive for No Nonsense Whisky, in collaboration with Mike Collings and Vin PF. It is bottled at 48.9% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration. The whisky was matured in one of Firkin's double oak casks, which are hand-coopered from American first-fill bourbon and new French oak staves and seasoned with a fortified wine, in this case Madeira. The nose brings toffee apples, red plums and crème brûlée with oak spice. On the palate are figs, raisins and redcurrants in brown sugar syrup, with orange peel and black pepper. The finish is long, with red fruit, toffee and warm wood spices.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
