This is an 18-year-old single malt from Tobermory on the Isle of Mull, bottled by Hunter Laing for their First Editions range. It comes from a single refill bourbon cask, which gave 289 bottles, and it is bottled at a cask strength of 51.8%.
The malt is unpeated. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose offers malted barley and warm caramel, then a little coastal salinity, ripe apricot and a hint of raspberry sweets. The palate is rounded and malty, with gentle cinnamon, restrained oak and honeyed barley, and the texture is oily. The finish is clean and medium to long, with a light maritime note and lingering barley sweetness.
