Floki is a craft single malt made in Iceland from 100% Icelandic barley, here in a 50cl bottle. The barley grows slowly in the volcanic soil of the Arctic Circle, and the whisky takes its character from it.
It is aged first in first-fill American oak casks, then in casks that previously held stout from a local brewery.
The nose is led by hops, with toasted caramel and spice. The palate balances spice against the sweetness of the hops. The finish is long, with a light note of ginger.
