Fonseca 10 Year Old Tawny is a port from the Douro, made by blending several vintages and aged in wooden casks. The grapes are mainly Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. It shows an intense amber colour, with aromas of dried fruit, figs, dates, vanilla and caramel. The palate is velvety and balanced between sweetness and acidity, with a persistent finish of toasted almonds and light spices. It suits chocolate desserts, aged cheeses or dried fruit.
