A tawny port from Fonseca, made in the Douro region. It is blended from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz, then aged in wood casks for at least twenty years.
The long ageing gives it aromatic complexity and a soft palate. It is suited to aged cheeses, nut-based desserts or after-dinner sipping.
On the nose there are dried fruit, nuts, caramel, sweet spices, dried figs, honey and a light toasted note. The palate is enveloping and balanced, with sweetness and acidity in harmony and a persistent finish of ripe fruit and spice.
