A Langhe DOC Nebbiolo from Fontanafredda, made from selected Nebbiolo grapes grown on clay-limestone soils in the Langhe. Ageing takes place in oak barrels, giving structure and complexity without overpowering the aromas. In the glass it is bright ruby, with intense aromas of faded rose, cherry and Mediterranean spice, shading into balsamic notes and light tobacco. On the palate it is elegant, fresh and savoury, with well-balanced tannins and a long, harmonious finish. It pairs well with red meat dishes, roasts and aged cheeses.
