Forester 1870 Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Bottled 1995 (70cl, 40%)

Forester 1870 is a Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled in 1995 at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to Old Forester, one of bourbon's historic brands. Old Forester was among the first whiskeys sold by the bottle, a step taken to ensure quality control and to capitalise on the medicinal whiskey trade of the 19th century. It was named after the Louisville physician Dr William Forrester, and the second R was dropped from the name when he retired.
