Fort Hamilton Double Barrel Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Double Barrel is a high-rye straight bourbon from Fort Hamilton Distillery in Brooklyn, New York. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle and is non-chill filtered. The bourbon blends two straight bourbons: one from Taconic Distillery in New York, made with New York-grown grain (70% corn, 25% rye, 5% malted barley), and one from MGP in Indiana (60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley). Each was aged for at least three years in 53-gallon, char level 3 barrels. The name refers to the blend of two mash bills, not a second maturation. The nose is bold and spicy, with cacao, cardamom and turmeric. The palate offers apricot-studded chocolate, green peppercorn, caramel corn, orange zest, vanilla and cocoa. The finish is long, warm and rye-driven.
