Fort Hamilton Double Barrel Rye Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

Fort Hamilton Double Barrel is a straight rye from Fort Hamilton Distillery in Brooklyn, bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill filtered. The blend combines New York rye distilled at Taconic Distillery (90% rye, 10% malted barley) with Indiana rye (95% rye, 5% malted barley). Neither mash bill contains corn. The whiskey was barrelled at 120 proof and aged for an average of three years in 30- and 53-gallon char #3 American oak barrels, in Brooklyn warehouses that are heated through the winter. The nose is herbaceous, with dill, fennel and walnut skin. On the palate come dark cocoa, caramel-covered pretzels, yellow apple, rye bread and black pepper, followed by a finish of honey and sea salt with a hint of coffee.
