Fort Hamilton – Single Barrel Rye Battles of Saratoga

This is a single barrel rye whiskey from Fort Hamilton Distillery in Industry City, Brooklyn, bottled under the name Battles of Saratoga. Alex Clark, a veteran bartender, established the distillery in 2016 to bring back a pre-Prohibition, Northeast American style of whiskey. It takes its name from Brooklyn's Fort Hamilton, itself named after Alexander Hamilton, and its spirits draw on the history of the Revolutionary War. The distillery makes New York rye in the manner of the period, using New York-grown rye with no corn in the mash bill.
