Fortuna Kentucky Straight Bourbon

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the revived Fortuna brand. The original Fortuna Whiskey was founded in the late 1800s by Phil Hollenbach, a German immigrant, who offered drinkers 'A Taste of Good Fortune'. It operated until the mid-1960s before closing. The brand has since been brought back by Rare Character, founded in 2021 by Pablo Moix and Peter Nevenglosky, with Andy Shapira joining in 2022. Their research included correspondence with members of the Hollenbach family, and they aim to recreate Fortuna as it was at its peak in the 1880s, from the branding and bottles to the whiskey itself.
