Found North Batch 012 is a 16 year old Canadian cask strength whisky, bottled at 128.2 proof in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of 11 components, corn and rye whiskies aged between 16 and 22 years.
The backbone is a 16 year old corn whisky matured in new American oak from ISC Cooper's Reserve, air-seasoned for 24 months, with a heavy toast and a number 2 char.
The nose shows maple, toasted marshmallow, honey and Tahitian vanilla bean, with flambé and roasted nut notes. The palate moves through molasses, brown sugar, thick honey, maple-covered cherries, dark chocolate mocha and burnt caramel. The finish is long, with rock candy, cinnamon, brown sugar and a smoldering warmth.
