A single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Four Roses, distilled at Lawrenceburg and bottled in a 75cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at barrel strength, which varies from barrel to barrel at roughly 50 to 54% ABV.
The OBSV recipe uses a mash bill of 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley, with the V yeast strain, which is associated with delicate fruit. Each bottle carries its barrel details on the label.
The nose is vanilla, pear and floral aromas with a hint of baking spice. The palate is rich, with cherry, ripe plum, cinnamon and subtle oak. The finish is long and smooth, spicy-sweet with balancing dryness.
