Four Roses OESK is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle. Each bottle is drawn from one hand-selected barrel at barrel strength, and it is non-chill filtered.
The recipe pairs the E mashbill, made of 75% corn, 20% rye and 5% malted barley, with the spicy "K" yeast strain. It is made at Four Roses in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and has a deep amber colour.
The nose is rich vanilla, dark caramel, allspice and charred oak. The palate has dark fruit such as cherry and plum, warm cinnamon, rye spice and brown sugar, and the finish is long and dry, with peppery spice.
