Four Roses Single Barrel OBSF is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Four Roses distillery in Lawrenceburg. It is made to the OBSF recipe: a mash bill of 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley, with the herbal yeast strain.
Each bottle comes from an individually numbered single barrel, so strength varies a little, at roughly 50 to 54% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and comes in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is fresh herbs, light mint, cherry cola and spiced oak. The palate brings smooth caramel, cinnamon, dried cherries, tea leaves and floral honey. The finish is lingering herbal spice with rye warmth and soft vanilla.
