Four Roses Single Barrel OBSK is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the distillery in Lawrenceburg, bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle. This is a private barrel selection made with the OBSK recipe, which pairs mashbill B, 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley, with the K yeast strain, one of the distillery's ten recipes.
Rye grain and baking spices of nutmeg and cinnamon bark lead the nose, with sweet vanilla beneath. On the palate, allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon come first, then vanilla and cherry. The finish is soft and mellow, with lingering rye spice and a dry close.
