Four Roses Single Barrel OESK is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 50% in a 750ml bottle. It is one of the distillery's ten recipes, pairing the high-rye E mashbill of 75% corn, 20% rye and 5% malted barley with the K yeast strain.
Each barrel is aged for seven to nine years at Four Roses in Lawrenceburg, and the bourbon is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose is led by cinnamon, white pepper and nutmeg over caramel and toasted oak, with black tea and cocoa emerging. The palate is full-bodied, with caramel and cocoa, then cinnamon, cardamom and black pepper. The finish is medium to long, warming, with cinnamon, leather, mint and charred oak.
