Four Roses – Small Batch Select Bourbon (75cl, 52%)

Four Roses Small Batch Select is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 52% ABV in a 750ml bottle, non-chill filtered. It was introduced in 2019 as the first permanent addition to the Four Roses range in over a decade. It blends six of the distillery's ten bourbon recipes, combining two mash bills and three yeast strains. The component bourbons are aged for six to seven years in new charred American oak at the distillery in Lawrenceburg. The nose offers ripe red berries, cinnamon and clove, with vanilla, light oak and a hint of spearmint. On the palate come apricot, plum and berries, then baking spice, vanilla cream and peppery rye warmth. The finish is long and dry, with cinnamon, nutmeg, dark chocolate and a minty lift.
