Four Roses is a Kentucky bourbon brand owned by the Kirin Brewery Company of Japan. The brand's origins are not entirely clear: some accounts name Rufus Mathewson Rose as its founder, while the owner credits Paul Jones Jr.
The bourbon is made from corn, rye and malted barley and aged for 5 years in toasted American oak barriques. It comes in a 1 litre bottle.
The nose is fruity and floral, led by pear and honey, with subtle spice behind. The palate is sweet and soft, with a fine, fruity character and good persistence.
