Four Roses Yellow Label is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, bottled at 40% in a 1.75 litre bottle. It is a blend of ten bourbon recipes, made from two mashbills (75% corn, 20% rye and 5% malted barley; 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley) and five proprietary yeast strains. All ten are aged in new American oak in single-story warehouses before being blended. The nose is ripe pear, florals, honey and browned butter with gentle rye spice. The palate brings sweet corn, apple, honey and light caramel. The finish is syrupy, with brown sugar, vanilla and gentle oak.
