Mandamus is a 16-year-old rum from the Foursquare distillery in Barbados, and part of the distillery's Exceptional Cask Selection. It is made from a blend of pot and column still distillates.
The first ten years of ageing took place in an ex-bourbon cask, after which the rum moved into an ex-tawny Port cask for the remaining time.
In the glass it offers hazelnut praline and dark chocolate, together with herbal notes, all carried by a rich, full texture.
