This is an XO Cognac from François Peyrot, in a 70cl bottle with a presentation box. It comes entirely from the Les Bergeronnettes vineyard in Grande Champagne, which carries the 1er Cru de Cognac designation.
The Cognac is aged for more than 25 years in oak casks, giving a complex, mature aromatic profile. Its colour is amber gold.
The nose opens with a steady build of fruit, vanilla and walnut. On the palate it is intense yet delicate, with a very persistent finish.
