La Visione di Luigi is an aged grappa from the Distilleria Luigi Francoli in Ghemme, Piedmont, made from a blend of Piedmontese pomace: Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto and Moscato. It is distilled by steam current, a method with low environmental impact.
Its character comes from a double maturation: a long rest in large Slavonian oak vats, then time in small Limousin oak barrels, which add depth and softness.
The nose is elegant, with vanilla, wood, tobacco, cocoa and sweet spice woven into the fruit. The palate is soft and velvety, with raisins, caramel and vanilla. The finish is long and clean, with cocoa, toasted wood and spice.
