Frank August Case Study 06 Legacy Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, bottled at 54.62% in a 750ml bottle.
It is composed of 8, 9 and 10 year old bourbons from three undisclosed Kentucky distilleries. Each batch is made up of six barrels, two from each source.
The producer describes a nose of vanilla bean, honeycomb, caramelised pear, seasoned oak, baking spice, candied fruit and brown sugar. The palate brings butterscotch, dark toffee, roasted pecan and orange zest, followed by a long finish of toasted sugar, charred oak and dried cherry.
